My client had an unfortunate fire event in her bathroom. Initially I was instructed to design a new practicable bathroom. The flat being a one-bedroom the optimisation of the space was a daily struggle for my client, she decided to push the project further and after one wall being knocked down and the switch of the kitchen and the bathroom the perception of the space of the whole flat changed.
Here my main target was to bring as much as possible some natural daylight. With the wall that separated the ex bathroom from the living room being knock down the natural light can now spread all over the room.
The bathroom is spacious and airy with a window which was not the case before the renovation. Bathroom should always have a window it is the best way to keep the walls healthy and reduce the apparation of damp.
